As the interest in betting on NBA with Betway88, continues to increase, we have compiled a list of some of the most thrilling NBA games of the last decade for you to reminisce.
#5. Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics (2012)
Game 6 of the 2012 Eastern Conference finals was a magnificent turnaround for the Heat, with the legendary LeBron James at the center of everything. It was a game they had to win for them to remain in the championship, and they did just that. LeBron was on fire, scoring a dominant 45 points to help the Heat overcome Celtics 98-79, forcing Game 7 at home.
#4. Dallas Mavericks vs. Portland Trail Blazers (2011)
Even though the Blazers eventually lost the series, it didn’t seem to matter much after doing what few expected them to do in this 4th game of playoffs, first round. The top performer on the night was the forgotten hero Brandon Roy who had not seen much playing time since his return from double knee surgery. Mavericks were leading going into the end of the third quarter before Roy happened.
The Blazers managed an incredible comeback, dominating the fourth quarter, with Roy either scoring or assisting on 12 of the next 15 field goals for Blazers. It ended 84-82 in favor of Trail Blazers.
#3. Utah Jazz vs. LA Lakers (2016)
It was Kobe Bryant’s final NBA game, and it was as epic as they get. Every team wanted it, but in the end, Lakers wanted it more. They wanted to win it for Mamba. He had served them well over the years. Who knew he would turn out to be the one to take the game to Jazz? Lakers trailed by 10 points, with the clock showing just over 3.39 to play, but Kobe had other ideas. He scored 17 points in the final 19 to win it for the Lakers. RIP Mamba.
#2. Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden State Warriors (2016)
Golden State Warriors had won a record 73 regular-season games going into game 7 of the NBA Finals. They were huge favorites with Betway88 to beat LeBron James and co, but this one will go down as one of the best games of the century. With the clock reading 4.39, the scores were tied at 89, but a forward surge led by James made a big difference. It would end 93-89 for Cavaliers, capping a great season for James who went on to win the finals MVP.
#1. San Antonio Spurs vs. Miami Heat (2013)
A lot was expected in game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals, but it turned out to be arguably the best NBA game of the century. It was painful for Spurs, as it was sweet for the Heat. It was anyone’s game as the clock ticked. With only 9 seconds left, Spurs led 95-92 and were doing everything to keep the ball from their opponents.
LeBron James had the chance to stretch the lead further for Spurs, but his miss gave Chris Bosh the opportunity to release a well-positioned Ray Allen who hit a one-time 3-pointer for the Heat. The game completely turned on its head, ending 103-100 for Miami Heat.
