The Best NBA 3-Point Shooters of 2024

Here’s an NBA statistic that won’t surprise anyone at all: Steph Curry made more three-pointers during the 2023-24 NBA season than any other NBA player by knocking down 357 of them. The sharpshooting Golden State Warriors guard actually made 73 more three-pointers than the player who finished right behind him on the list. He also finished the year shooting 40.8% from behind the three-point line.

Curry might be the top 3 points shooter in the NBA according to the latest basketball news, but he was just one of the many NBA players to get buckets from three-point range early and often this season. Check out some of the other best 3-point shooters in NBA 2024 below.

Luka Dončić

The Dallas Mavericks star finished a distant second behind Curry this season with 284 three-pointers made and a 38.2% three-point shooting percentage. It helped the Mavs earn a No. 5 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs, and it also played a big part in the team’s run to the 2024 NBA Finals.

The top 3 point shooters 2024 had to offer included Curry, Dončić, and New York Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo, who finished just one three-pointer behind Dončić with 283 threes made on the season.

CJ McCollum

There aren’t too many NBA players who can claim to have a better three-point shooting percentage than Curry, but McCollum is one of them. The New Orleans Pelicans forward may have only made 239 three-pointers this season, putting him far back from Curry’s torrid pace. However, he managed to shoot 42.8% from behind the three-point line, putting him behind only Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen who finished the year shooting 46.1% from three.

Klay Thompson

Some people might argue Thompson doesn’t belong on a list of the NBA best shooters anymore since it would appear his best playing days are behind him. But despite the 2023-24 season being a bit of a down year for the Warriors guard, he still managed to make 268 three-pointers, good for fourth-best in the league. He also shot a more-than-respectable 38.7% from three this season.

Anfernee Simons

The Portland Trail Blazers weren’t very good this season, as they finished with a putrid 21-61 record. But Simons served as one of the few bright spots for the team, making 156 three-pointers on 38.5% shooting from the three-point line. He’ll need to keep shooting like that if the Blazers want to get out of the basement in the Western Conference next season.

Donovan Mitchell

A series of injuries stopped Mitchell from surpassing the 200 mark when it came to making three-pointers during the 2023-24 NBA season. But despite playing in just 55 regular-season games, he still managed to make 182 threes while shooting 36.8% from behind the three-point line. The Cleveland Cavaliers star is expected to sign a massive contract this summer so that he can continue to take and make threes for the team for years to come.
